I am updating in the car on our way back home from Connecticut. We are on the New Jersey turnpike and traffic is heavy and the sun is shining. We had a fabulous time over the last several days. The week was extremely busy and we had very little down time. Not too much relaxation took place on this trip. We are headed to Virginia Beach this weekend for the July 4th holiday so I am planning on lying on the beach and drinking margaritas by the pool. OK… back to this trip, we visited with so many friends and family and crisscrossed the state a few times. It was exhausting but so wonderful. The girls spent time at the beach, with their aunts, with their friends and with more cousins than I could count. We hugged, laughed, cried and continued to thank so many people that were instrumental in Ellie’s healing and recovery. It’s always great to go home and I wish we had a few more days to soak it all in.
Ellie has felt fine. Yesterday we went to a big family party and she was overwhelmed a few times but she has loved all of the attention. She starts summer school tomorrow, bright and early, so we are hoping to make it home around 8pm tonight so she can get a good night’s sleep. This laptop is burning my legs so I am going to end here. I have been updating a lot more often on the new blog http://lifeappreciated.blogspot.com so you can check that out if you want to hear about our trip in more detail.
Thank you for your prayers and for our Connecticut family - we loved seeing all of you and we are so blessed to have you all in our lives. We miss you already!
XO- Colleen
