My Story

On March 21, 2007. Ella and her twin brother Ethan arrived 12 weeks early. Ella had a rough start, underdeveloped lungs, a brain bleed and an intestine blockage in addition to may other typical preemie problems. Due to the brain bleed Ella developed hydrocepholus and had to have a temporary shunt placed. Ella is a fighter and worked past those problems.

The past couple of days have been very difficult for us. The anniversary reminds us of the finality...Ella is gone.
Intertwined with the moments of pain, however, there have been moments that were unmistakenly Ella...moments that through the tears, we have been brought to smile and remember that she remains with us in heart and spirit. We know Ella is in a wonderful place and can only imagine the first angel year party my parents are throwing for her in heaven. We imagine she is laughing, dancing and eating anything she wants. This morning we sent Ella balloons. The kids love to send her balloons and they are sure she catches all of them
So, although the pain is great, we remain blessed by the all too short life of Ella. She was an amazing little girl that touched many lives. We are proud to be the family of Ella.
