My Story

Eliot was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia on June 9, 2006. He received induction chemotherapy to put him in remission and then received a Stem-Cell transplant to hopefully permanently rid him of the disease. He was diagnosed, treated and given a transplant all within a span of about 5 months. It has been more than 2 years since the transplant and he is doing very well.

This article generated a bit more attention than we'd anticipated. But I think it's relevant to post here.

The reporter over-dramatized things a bit and made it sound like we worked harder than we really did.
