HAPPY HAPPY NEWS!  The new combination of steroids and Ara-C/Cyclophospamide worked!  NO FEVER!!!!  YEAH!!!!  J. Lee took Ellen to St. Jude yesterday for her chemo (more on that later) and they did great!  She got the spinal without problems and then the Ara-C/Cyclo at about 1pm.  That meant we could expect the fever at around 11 or 12 last night which came and went without a peep!  We were so glad for little Ellen, not only for last night, but for the many more months to come when she must get these chemos again.  So thank God and St. Jude for yet another small battle behind us!  Whew, that one took a while!

I wasn't able to go to St. Jude yesterday because I was in a one day orientation for my new job!  I will be working weekends on an adult bone marrow transplant unit in Memphis and I am very excited about it!  My nursing background is certainly handy!  J. Lee will be here with Ellen and Nick while I am working and my job won't interfere with Ellen's St. Jude appointments during the week so everything should work out well for us all.

Our prayer today is one of gratitude for our many blessings and for the willingness and strength to do God's will whatever that may be.  Much love, Ann
