Day +93 Labs today at Dr. Orloff's. All counts still within a pretty good range but only WBC is actually in the normal range. . Just like in the past, mag was low and creatinine high. Neither one was dangerously low and since Ed no longer has his PICC line for easy venous access, it was decided to increase the oral mag a little and for him to make sure he drinks LOTS of fluid to keep his kidneys flushed. The Tacrolimus (Prograf/FK) was decreased to a total of 1.5 mg per day instead of 2.0 mg. That could change again next week depending on future bloodwork. The nurse practioner thought that maybe Ed did have a very, very mild degree of GVHD. She showed me a specific area on Ed's back where he had a faint, pinkish rash. This mild GVHD is okay. We just don't want it to evolve into full blown shingles. On Monday we head back to Duke where Ed will see Dr. Rizzieri and have his usual labs done, too. We hope to go down and back in one day, but we will be prepared to spend the night if the clinic visit ends up taking all afternoon like it often did in the past.
