We all think about what we want our heroes to be like, if we ever get the chance to meet them. I was fortunate enough to come to many Fantasy Camps that you attended. You NEVER dissapointed. You were , big, strong, fearless, friendly, very easy to talk to. Always willing to help, to teach to share...not only baseball stories, but life stories. You genuinely seemed as interested in me as I was in you. You made me feel SPECIAL. AND WHEN I returned to camp after your diagnosis, you were still the same Hermie- big, strong, & fearless as you faced an unsure future.Well, you've gone to you heavenly reward now, and I hope that when my time comes,I can follow your lead, because Hermie,I surely want to see you again.

I only met you for a short time and was glad to know you. I am so glad your pain is gone and you are with the baseball angels. You left your mark and we all will remember you.  Your family will have some good memories of a now peaceful journey you are on. Peace to you brother. Knock it out of the park.

We love and miss you Hoggy! It is comforting to know that you are in Heaven and feeling no pain now.  As Dylan said on the day of your death, "the world looks very droopy and sad without Hoggy here.".  You have made an indelible imprint on our family and our love will continue to travel to you in the spiritual realm.  God bless you and your beautiful family! We will look forward to seeing you again in the future.  Love always!

Ed was a great guy in high school. I only knew him when he was young. He will remain in my heart as one of the best guys I had the privilege to know.  I don't know you, but through your journals, I see you have such a loving spirit, Barbara. It is a blessing to know that you and Nicole have so many people surrounding you with love. Bless you for all you did for Eddie. May your memories sustain you, and always be sweet.
