You Are Always With Me
Written Mar 1, 2014 6:35pmHey Cowboy,
Yesterday was a very stressful day. Know that you were right there beside us though, cause I saw the first daffodil of the season, a rainbow, and got your message from heaven. It knew that was a sign that everything was going to be alright.
Cody and Skyler have gone to a birthday party. I miss the days when parents take the kids to the party. I know that they are growing up, but I just worry about them being on the road without me. Might as well get used to it, though cause I can't stop them from growing up and I don't want to... you know me, I'm just a worrier!
Got to get busy on Dylan Days soon! So many decisions and so much to do. I was doing a report for the Horse Council last week, and in the last 4 years, we have raised over $32,000 for families in the community!!!
Night Cowboy! Love and miss you more than all the stars in the sky tonight!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Happy Valentines Day!!! Just wanted to let you know how much you are still loved and missed around here. Not just at this house either! You are still missed by people that love you in this house, in this family, in this community, in Minnesota, and around the world!! That’s right!! Right beside me is a picture of you and the two amigos!! I can’t believe how fast they are growing! They are in 6th grade now! They still both come up and hug me whenever they see me. They will never know how much that means to me. They are one of the many connections that I still have to you.
We are going to school late today! As you know,we have had another, yes another major snow storm!! It has snowed here every week for the last month! Not typical for us. I am so ready for spring! Even Skyler said “enough already”. They have been having fun in the snow, but they are ready for nice weather. I noticed that your daffodils are peeking up through the ground. Hope that is a sign that spring will soon be here!!!
Skyler got her cast off, so she is on fire to ride. Still got a couple more weeks before she can do that! She needs to get her horse ready for the trail challenge and she only has a month. She starts driving next week!!
Cody has started college visits!! Can’t believe he will soon be a senior!! Time is just going by way too fast!! He will soon be 17!!
I know that you and Granny and Mammy, Shelby, Matt, Sarah Louise, Mama and Daddy and all of our other loved ones will all be celebrating with chocolate cake today!! Give them all a big hug for me!! Cupid sent Cody and Skyler a ticket to go to the rodeo in Raleigh this weekend. Hope they will enjoy it!! You will certainly be missed, but I know that you will be right there with us wearing your cowboy hat and carrying your rope!!
Better get to work now. HAPPY VALENTNES DAY!!
Written Jan 30, 2014 6:43pmHey Cowboy,
Guess what! Mrs. Shirley from the library wanted one of your cookbooks. They are putting a special section in the library for local authors and they want your cookbook to be included!! Guess I never thought of you as an author, but here's proof. Again, a special thanks for Juli Evers for her great idea and her help!!! Hope the proceeds will help in some small way to find a cure for FA!!
Saw on the news where the football coach in Florida is raising money to help find a cure. I pray that happens some day soon. I know it won't help us and it certainly won't bring you back, but every night I sit down at the computer I see so many others suffering!! I just don't understand why so many people have to face FA, cancer, and other horrible diseases!!
As you know, we had another snow storm!! The kids have been having a ball!!! Sledding, 4-wheeling, snow ball fights, hot chocolate and snow cream!!! There is only one thing missing!!! YOU!! I miss you so much, Cowboy!! We all do. We found some pictures of you and Cody and Skyler this week and they put some in frames and put them in their rooms!!! It's times like this that I miss you most. We went 4-wheeling today and I wished so much that your little red 4-wheeler would come around the corner. I will never forget the day that you got it. It was on Christmas morning. Santa left it by the tree, but he forgot to give you the key!! That was the Christmas that we had the scavenger hunt. At the end of the hunt, Santa brought, in person, Angel and your 4-wheeler key!! Everyone was so excited about Angel, that we didn't miss you for a few minutes. Then someone said, "where's Dylan?" We knew exactly where you were. By the time we got there, you almost had the 4 wheeler started right in the family room!!! We got to you just in the nick of time!!! That was probably the best Christmas I can remember!!!
Night Cowboy!!! Love and miss you to "infinity and beyond"!!!
