Wanted to do a quick update as the next few days are going to be busy, busy, busy.  My dad made it home on Monday afternoon and boy was he a site for sore eyes.  The boys were so excited.  All I can say is my old daddy is back.  He now laughs when the boys get loud and just watches them with a smile on his face.  He seems to have the patience that he once had.  My dad always had the patience of Job and when he got sick, just the boys in the living room playing quitely got on his nerves.  Now the boys can run up to him and love him and tell him something that will make him smile.  I'm glad to have him back.  We are so thankful for what God has done and to have daddy and mama back home.  Mama has to give daddy insulin shots and is doing a fine job of taking care of him.  She did tell me the other day that it didn't make her want to become a nurse, like it has me.  I have been thinking about going back to school to become a nurse and have checked into the nursing programs.  I hope maybe within the next year I can start some classes.  Anyway mama and daddy are doing pretty good.  He is having to go back and forth 3 times a week for labs and will start PT next week.

We will be heading out for vacation for a week tomorrow night.  We are heading to the beach.  We haven't been on a vacation since the summer before Drake was diagnosed, so we are looking forward to it.  I will try and update and let you know of the fun.  Tomorrow I will have to shuck 300 ears of corn and put them up, get bags packed, take Briley to ball practice and head out after Mike gets off of work.  Hope each of you have a wonderful weekend and will update as often as possible.  Please remember Santi and Jenna and the countless others that are having scans and remember Melina, the chemo is making her sick.  Have a happy 4th.

Love,
Dana
