Scott,

The story about Toot and you in nothing short of a blessing to each other. No one was put on this earth to be alone and unhappy after the passing of their significant other. Do not listen to small town gossip, they just have nothing better to do in their lives. Love is never ending and we never know what God's plan is for us, only he does. I am so happy to hear you have found happiness again. It sounds like Renae and you will be a great support system for each other. I can bet that Toot is smiling down happy to know that the man she loves and one of her friends she loves, found love in each other. I only met you a couple of times and never got to meet Toot, but your story has inspired me more than you will ever know. I cannot wait to get a book of a true love story.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and life with all of us. God bless you. I pray that people quit making judgements and open their eyes to God's plan. Hope to hear that Renae and you find all the happiness together till death do you part. I believe in my heart that you both will.

Hugs to both of you!!! Heavenly hugs to Toot!!!
You all are amazing people that touched my heart and I hope to have the love you all share someday myself.

Scott,
I am sitting here at work with tears in my eyes and sniffling.

What a beautiful tribute this Caring Bridge book will be to Toot and a tangible story for Ashlynn and Logan to share with their families for the remainder of their own lives.  Can you hear Ashlynn and Logan laughing as they tell their children Granny Toot stories???  :-)

My heart breaks for you and at the same time is filled with hope as I read about Renae being a part of your life.

You continue to be in my prayers!

Love you, Cuz!!!

Scott,

That was the most amazing post. You are so correct in every aspect of this post. No one walks in your shoes or anyone else's for that matter.

Congratulations on connecting with Renae and the two of you finding a connection in each other to support each other through your lives.

All the best in the world to both of you.

Scott,

You have amazing ability to write, I think you making a book is a wonderful idea!  You have taught a lot of us to have Faith and to enrich in our own lives and marriages!! How God works thru Us "let go and let God"!
Your journal of the love you expressed to Toot will be a memory I will cherish and a constant reminder of God Love! A reminder of Peace & Love only a caring friend can deliver!! God bless you and your Family!

As always, your writing ability amazes me!  What a story you have - what an incredible tribute to your lovely Toot!
Please know you are always in my thoughts and prayers - especially these past few days.  You have made it through your "firsts" - as I have told you and you have said in this post - the thoughts and memories never "go away" - times just get easier.
Take care of yourself, my friend!

Scott,  what a beautiful message in honor of Tooter.  My heart feels for you and the grieving you must be doing.  How fortunate you both were to have each other and experience such love. May our Lord's peace be with you now and bring joy to your life once again.  Merry Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving Tooter!  I hope the turkey in heaven is the best ever as you deserve it!!!  We will miss you tho our family is not altogether this year .  Our living here in Az. has made that impossible but we are together in spirit and love.  Don't forget to come and sit with us on the deck next summer as your chair will be waiting for you.  Miss you dear daughter-in-law!

Scott, just read your beautiful tribute to Toot and as I am currently lying in my hospital bed here at Mayo I can't help but think of her. I've had a setback had surgery yesterday and now begin the long road to recovery as I was diagnosed with Crohns several months ago and fighting massive infections but have continued to place my faith in our Lord who will watch over me. Just wanted to let you know that I continue to pray for you and your family and for peace in your hearts, Toot would want that. Always in my prayers, Tonya Ploeger

Thank you for the updates in Toot's memory. Too often we tend in internalize those feelings of memories and loss.

With another Big holiday weekend at the lake I knew how much Toot would be on everyone's mind. I had prayed that the kids would have been able to join you and your family for the event. Guess it wasn't in God's plan.

BUT I will continue to pray that my prayer will be answered and that in the end the kids can again be a part of your life.

Again, thanks for the kind words and prayers for our Lauren when she was at Children's Hospital in Mpls. She is home  and looking better each day. She will take some time to recover her energy and gain back some weight. Honest--I offered to gift her some weight but again--not God's plan.

Enjoy your summer and each memory--Pam & Mike
