Keep your focus on God, and your ambitions will be godly!

Hi folks!  Another whirlwind four days has ended, as Devo and Charlotte said goodbye to Angie and me at the train station, as we went on our way to White Plains, New York to do a pro-am for Ernie Els and his Els for Autism charitable golf tourney!  Devo and Charlotte were up until around 1:00 a.m., but still managed to go to Blounts in Warren, which is on the water, just to listen to some music!  Don't they ever rest?  And Nicole, T.J. and Peaches are at some party on a boat, after going to bed around 2:30 last night!  Evidently Devo's birthday party was a complete success, as evidenced by how long they all stayed up, but it wasn't enough to keep them in tonight!  It must be nice to be young, but I still haven't figured out what keeps the energizer bunny (Charlotte) going!  She never stops, is constantly doing something, and if there is nothing left to do, she'll find something!  But why aren't they all at home resting after yesterday's all day and nighter?  I guess they operate on adrenalin and God's strength!  As for me, I could go to sleep now, and not wake up until Labor Day!  I know darn well that I could muster up enough energy to care for Devon, but I probably couldn't do much else!  These nutty girls, start early in the morning, continue on through the daylight hours, and then look for something to do at night!  God has certainly blessed them with extra strength energy, and far more than normal ambition!

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. - ( Philippians 3:13-14)

Ambition, in a worldly sense is defined as an intense drive for success or power!  When I say the girls possess above normal ambition, I am not referring to their desire for power or intense success, because we all know that they are driven by a single purpose, that of making Devo's life as full and exciting as possible, while Jesus is busy repairing and rewiring the damage that he did to his brain!  I'll give them credit, they aren't intimated by any situation or setting, regardless of the what anyone might think, if it will enrich Devon for that period of time, they are doing it!  Ambition, to them, is having the desire to make Devon's life better!  But ambition to a believer, means something a little different!  It means not spending any time worrying about the past or what has transpired in our lives, but more importantly, doing all  the right things that will bring us closer to the Lord, and to our ultimate goal of eternal life in a place where there is no hurt or pain, a place where our bodies will be new and whole, and to a place where satan and the temptations of the world will no longer exist!  As long as our ambitions lead us to the ultimate prize, Jesus will lead us down the proper pathways by which to get there!  Stay ambitious, like the girls, but make sure your ambitions take on a supernatural goal, as opposed to those worldly, temporary, and very artificial human goals!  And Jesus will do the rest!  Goodnight, Dana.

Sounds like the Birthday was a great success. You have not said much about the Dr. in Boston that is so hard to get to see or did I miss something in a post?
Play good for Ernie. Autism is a very troubling condition to me. It seems like more children are coming down with it.
