Dana,

So happy Devon was finally able to get into the pool!  I first spoke to Nicole and Charlotte about the program at Rhode Island Hospital about 2 years ago.  Each member of the family will be able to partake in the therapy and learn beneficial moves as well as the safest techniques for entry and exit .  In addition, they will be able to assist in guiding you towards selecting the perfect floatation device (as seen around Devon's neck in the picture) and lift system (to lower/raise him safely in/out of the pool).

Each and every one of the therapists involved in the program are vested in the progress and well-being of their client.  Devon will certainly enjoy his swim time at RIH!

Brenda and Dana...it's pretty cool to know I am still a novice at all things related to God and there is so much more to learn. Thank you so very much for the explanation. It makes perfect sense now! Now off to study Revelations...which is another mystery! Love to you both for your time and knowledge!

I just read Patti Benson's post and feel compelled to answer her question.

Patti, God our father has complete ability and power to destroy Satan at any time!  And yes he is going to take away the evil one for good but it is in his time.

You need to study the book of revelation.  His word tells us there are things that have to happen before he comes back.  Many have already happened but his work here is not finished.  Only then will he stop and put an end to Satan and all his demons.

If he controlled sin and evil in every situation than he would be controlling us as puppets.  He has given the world freedom of choice, (free will).  He wants us all to make the decision in our hearts whether to love, trust and believe in him or not.  He doesn't force himself on anyone!  Thus………sin, sickness, disease, tragedy, crime, etc…

Don't get me wrong, I believe God stops and tells Satan not this one and no you're not going have that one and yes I will heal her/him; at times.  We just don't have the answers as to "why".  Everything is in his time and for his purpose.

As I have walked with the Lord and truly given every aspect of my life over to him I see so much more clearly as to the "why" in my life!

Just keeping trusting, praying and reading your bible.  God will reveal more to you as you grow closer to him.

Hope that helps!  :)
God Bless
Brenda

I'm with you Dana!  That's incredible!  There's no other explanation.

Here we think poor Devon, and (humanly), rightfully so.  But in the spirit realm, Dev is most likely experiencing moments with the Lord that one here on earth could only DREAM of!

I CAN'T WAIT until Dev is completely talking to us and sharing this whole experience.  I told Charlotte I had another dream last week that he was talking to me in perfect speech and clarity.

Praise God for all the intimacy that he and Dev are sharing!

Love to all,
Brenda

As powerful as God is, I wish I knew why He cannot destroy Satan. I guess I haven't read enough of the Bible yet to find out that answer. I keep praying asking Jesus to take the evil one away for good. I want to walk the talk but sometimes satan makes it tough to do. Anyone else out there feel the same?

Hope that Nicole is ok and the accident was only minor.

Blessings to you all.

OMGoodness!!!  I am in a panic just reading this!  I wish she called me, I would have run over to be with her last night.  I am going to call her right after this post but wanted to confirm your kind words about Charlotte!  You are so correct when you say God picked the right person for the job!  She truly is so calm, gentle, attentive and protective when it comes to Devon and his well being.  She is one of a kind!

That poor thing, she must have wanted to jump through the window before the police came.  Ughhh!

God Bless,

Gotta add to your post from yesterday because this was the daily reading on You Version, which I bookmarked. Not exactly the same verse but pretty close.

I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. (‭Psalms‬ ‭16‬:‭8‬ NLT)

No, not a coincidence!

Great post tonight. How encouraging! This is proof to me that yes, God will bring us through it, but we have to help ourselves too. If Charlotte was not so tireless in her efforts to help Devon, she would never have found those guys. God is opening the doors, but Charlotte has the faith to walk through them!

Dana,

Hello my friend, and brother. In a direct response to your post tonight, I would like to say that to us who are still with you in the battle never tire of "every detail" of your daily posts. Your devotion befits your "ironman" reputation. Few amongst us would still have the fortitude and discipline to post 1,000 plus days in a row.

Please allow me to share a short story from my life. My father served in the South Pacific Theater in US Marine Corp from February 1943 until he was shot on the Ryuku Islands on May 8th, 1945. He was an "ironman," beachhead warrior.

I have every letter that he wrote to his family in Ely, Iowa, from the day he graduated Basic Training in Quantico, Virginia, until his last letter from the U.S. Naval Hospital, on Mare Island, San Francisco, where he had 13 surgeries in 18 months to restore his body from severe wounds.

Every Memorial Day, I gather, with members of my family, at his grave, to read portions of his letters. (Btw, he passed away 15 years ago last Friday, one hour after Justin Leonard sank his famous Ryder Cup putt). What I hear in the voice of your post tonight reminds me of my dad's battle fatigue. The letters from 1943 are full of "Marine" masculinity, and their superiority to the Army and Navy. His 1944 letters are filled with the beginning of weariness and the names of friends among him that "got it." (killed). His 1945 letters are filled with despair and hopelessness of any kind of a life after the war. His hospital letters are ….. well, short. Why? He wrote, "I'm sorry that I keep repeating myself. It must be boring for you all to read the same old same old from me. Love, Dave."

If you're still reading my response, I want to encourage you that your details are not in vain. Not one among us is exempt from trials and tribulations. It's not a matter of "if, "but when" it will be our turn. Your words are not wasted because healing is unusual in itself. There's a chasm of difference between a paper cut and Devo's head trauma, yet even a paper cut can be the bane of ones existence if it's in an area that is in constant motion and pressure.

Dana, Angie, Nicole, Charlotte, family and friends   …. we are in motion. Do NOT lose heart, faint, nor grow weary. The fruit from the motion you have travelled and the "emotion" of what you have spent is not in vain.

Thank you for being a faithful warrior. I know that if something were to happen to me that I would you as my intercessor. It's a joy to be one for you, and Devo.

In His love,
Paul

Dear Quigley family,
God works in mysterious ways!  There is not a doubt in our minds that this "chance" meeting was well planned.  It is I possible to imagine how Devon felt while listening to this woman describe the trials she and her family have been through, but we can imagine it was very heartening.  Our God places certain people in our lives at the times that we need them most.  Praise Him!
May God continue to Bless you all.....

God keeps telling me that Devon needs to be in Florida and he needs the help of natural healers...yes, Jesus, but also people who deal with eastern, alternative, out of the normal, healing. These people have proven that they can help even more than physicians who use drugs. That may not be popular with the masses but who cares? Back in Jesus' day, they didn't believe that He could heal either, yet he did. Maybe this is God's message to you to try another avenue, another path. You have been shut down time and time again by western medicine, medical doctors. Follow what God is telling others to tell you. At this point, what have you got you lose? This is the path that I took by the Grace of God. I believe in the western medical profession, too...but like naturopaths, they are just humans at the end of the day and are not GOD! My opinions.
