Good morning all!  Dana, you make me laugh every time you talk about Charlotte and her excursions!

It is so true that Charlotte has the most positive outlook for Dev.  The other day she was telling me she was going to have the men put in heated floors in Devon's new bathroom.  I told her that was great but that she and all Devon's caregivers would be the beneficiaries and what do you think she said?  "Yes, thats true but only until Devon is up and walking"!!!  She doesn't ever hesitate or question "if" Dev will be walking and talking, it's ALWAYS "when" he will!

God is so great and he's knows and sees that day, that glorious day when Devon will be healed!  Amen!

God Bless,
Brenda

Good morning all!  Yes, yesterdays trip to Boston was at first a let down but after getting back in the van and talking it through with Charlotte and Dev we did finally come to the point of saying…"this is good news"!

It is funny though how you kind of want something wrong so that the doc can just go in there and fix it!!  lol  But in all actuality it is so much better not to have anything to repair because there is ALWAYS risks with surgery and or procedures!

This group of doctors are the best of the best!  They have brought vocal healing to some of the most famous singers in the world!  (Julie Andrews, Cher, Rod Stuart, Steven Tyler, Adel and so on……..).  And they DID bring my 82 year old moms vocal and swallow back.  Praise God!

If there was ever anything (humanly), possible that could be done, these are the doctors that could and would do it!  They are professional, articulate, personable and seem to be extremely honest!  He sounded very hopeful that when Devon begins to come out of this and as his brain starts to heal, his throat, (swallow and speech), will function as it should.

He also said the more Devon swallows and coughs on his own the better!  See, Dev is the one that has had it right from the beginning!  He always wants to do things on his own!  In the back of my mind while watching him cough and choke I'm thinking, "Charlotte get the suction"!  Wrong, Brenda!  ha ha

Anyway, I love spending time with Charlotte and Devon!

On another note the addition is AMAZING!  God Bless ALL who are helping to make this place for Dev a reality!

Love you all!

Good morning all!  Yes, it was an exciting night with Devon lifting his arms here last night!!!  I wish I videoed Charlotte jumping up and down screaming with joy, (even though she could barely talk)!  I really couldn't believe my eyes!  He was lifting both arms and then his left over and over!  It was like watching the miracle of a baby being born!  Charlotte was cheering him on telling him "keep going, keep going".  Then I walked over and was holding his hand and elbow to help him along and there it was again…..I pulled away and he lifted it up again 3 more times!  It really was amazing!  By the 10th to 12th time he had done it and having Charlotte tell him to do it again I think he may have been pooped!  lol

When he spelled out bite it was like a game show.  lol  Charlotte asked him if there was another word that he could spell after bite?  He kept saying no.  He's so smart because Mosquito comes before not after!  ha ha and she kept asking is there a word after bite.  I was asking questions like, did you feel like you were going to bite your tongue?  He emphatically shot eyes down NO!  So then I racked my brain and thought of the bugs that were biting me out there and came up with Mosquito.  Well, when he said YES you would have thought Charlotte and I won the jackpot of a million dollars!  We were both yelling and laughing with Dev!  We were so happy we guessed and so happy that that darn mosquito bothered him enough to muster up enough strength to try and shooooo it away!  Praise God!

Just another miracle coming Devon's way!  I told him healing "head to toe"!

Love to all,
Brenda

Dana, thank you for tonight's post. You're not alone, we're all still working on it. You are so right about worry, when we worry we are actually meditating on what Satan is trying to do to us, make us stray. When we focus on Jesus throughout the day, life is much simpler, much more peaceful. Bless you, and all the Quigley's.

Dana, God has truly put a joyful burden on you to keep all of us aware of His many blessings. I start my day off with the many prayer lists that are on my heart, I share my day with the Lord and ask his guidance with every decision I must make, thank Him for all He has done for my family, friends and myself. And then each night I end my day reading your inspirational messages and praying for Devon and all the Quigley's and those whom have continued to be by Devon's side. Devon and you have had such an impact on my life. Thank you Jesus for putting the Quigley's in the Barfield's life!

Don't you dare stop writing.....old man!!!  The spiritual connection is too valuable to be without.  Tho it has been forever since I've posted, I haven't missed a day of reading......and praying.  The writings and news are always so timely and you have no idea how they affect those who are sharing your journey.  God Bless.

Dana, your posts are always so timely and meaningful We will hold up Bobby's family during this time. Yesterday, Jim had a phone call from the son of Jessie Patino, as you know he played on the Champions tour for about three years. He had several physical set backs in the last few years and on Tuesday went to be with the Lord. Funny, not really, how God has used Devon in such unbelievable ways to bind us, His children, together, as we should be, one big family. Heaven is for Real, and now we can find comfort that Bobby and Jessie are there in the comforting arms of our Lord. I pray that Devon and the girls have an exceptional day. Love to all the Quigley's, Loretta.

Dana and all the Quigley's. We cannot thank you enough for this amazing tribute to our Dad. It made me cry with tears of joy and I can promise you if my Dad had read it, he would be weeping too. Our prayers for Devon and all the Quigley's never stop. We know that if we expect God to answer our prayers, He will in His timing. And although we are sad to not have our Dad's physical presence here to talk with and ask advice from, we do know that Jesus came to wipe all of our sins away and that our time on earth is just a visit, while Heaven is our destiny. I believe that my Dad made it to his destiny!

Thank you so very much for the kind word for our Dad and for honoring him tonight. He would be beaming from ear to ear.

Love you all,

Patti & Bobby Benson

Great words of wisdom!  I second them! lol

I was over the house visiting a couple of days ago and was sharing a serious situation in my life and was telling Nicole just that!  I can get through anything with the Lord and the reminder of the bravery and fortitude that Devon has!

The addition is AMAZING!  Devon is going to love it!

God Bless
