Angie, what an inspiring and uplifting post tonight. Faith is truly what our walk is all about, blind faith just knowing our Lord has us continually in the palm of his hand. Without faith, life would be pure desperation. With faith, we can expect all good things that our Lord has planned for us, in His time. I can't imagine living through the struggles of human life without Christ by my side. Bless you and Dana and the girls, and we all await the day when we celebrate Devon's compete and total recovery.

Funny start to your post!  Always love when you give me a chuckle first thing in the morning!

I spend time with Charlotte and Devon quite often and I must say Devon looks better and better every time I see him.  His swallow is amazing, his countenance is bright and he is ALWAYS stylish in his apparel.

I love that I am a witness to this journey between Dev and Jesus!  God is good…….ALL THE TIME!

Love,
Brenda

Quigs....too many of us can relate to the pop not being off the clubface but the body...but one thing is for sure: you excelled in this sport form the early days of great New England golf to playing the best in the world. I will always remember your face when we were together in Conn when you got the telephone call that your piers named you the player of the year....you beamed---I beamed when you told me....you were the best! I have always for some 50 years thought of you as one of the best I have ever seen and had the pleasure to witness your great success. Prayers continue for Devon...Nick

Dana, it is amazing to watch how Jesus is working through you to deliver His message to all of us. I am so thankful for your posts. It allows us to keep up with Devon's progress and keep him at the top of the prayer list. Your insightfulness also helps me to apply the scriptures to the day to day challenges we all face. Today was a stressful day in the business, but tonight Jesus allowed you to remind me the He is in control and His promises are for real, even when we struggle. Thank you!

Good morning all!  Dana, you make me laugh every time you talk about Charlotte and her excursions!

It is so true that Charlotte has the most positive outlook for Dev.  The other day she was telling me she was going to have the men put in heated floors in Devon's new bathroom.  I told her that was great but that she and all Devon's caregivers would be the beneficiaries and what do you think she said?  "Yes, thats true but only until Devon is up and walking"!!!  She doesn't ever hesitate or question "if" Dev will be walking and talking, it's ALWAYS "when" he will!

God is so great and he's knows and sees that day, that glorious day when Devon will be healed!  Amen!

God Bless,
Brenda

Good morning all!  Yes, yesterdays trip to Boston was at first a let down but after getting back in the van and talking it through with Charlotte and Dev we did finally come to the point of saying…"this is good news"!

It is funny though how you kind of want something wrong so that the doc can just go in there and fix it!!  lol  But in all actuality it is so much better not to have anything to repair because there is ALWAYS risks with surgery and or procedures!

This group of doctors are the best of the best!  They have brought vocal healing to some of the most famous singers in the world!  (Julie Andrews, Cher, Rod Stuart, Steven Tyler, Adel and so on……..).  And they DID bring my 82 year old moms vocal and swallow back.  Praise God!

If there was ever anything (humanly), possible that could be done, these are the doctors that could and would do it!  They are professional, articulate, personable and seem to be extremely honest!  He sounded very hopeful that when Devon begins to come out of this and as his brain starts to heal, his throat, (swallow and speech), will function as it should.

He also said the more Devon swallows and coughs on his own the better!  See, Dev is the one that has had it right from the beginning!  He always wants to do things on his own!  In the back of my mind while watching him cough and choke I'm thinking, "Charlotte get the suction"!  Wrong, Brenda!  ha ha

Anyway, I love spending time with Charlotte and Devon!

On another note the addition is AMAZING!  God Bless ALL who are helping to make this place for Dev a reality!

Love you all!

Good morning all!  Yes, it was an exciting night with Devon lifting his arms here last night!!!  I wish I videoed Charlotte jumping up and down screaming with joy, (even though she could barely talk)!  I really couldn't believe my eyes!  He was lifting both arms and then his left over and over!  It was like watching the miracle of a baby being born!  Charlotte was cheering him on telling him "keep going, keep going".  Then I walked over and was holding his hand and elbow to help him along and there it was again…..I pulled away and he lifted it up again 3 more times!  It really was amazing!  By the 10th to 12th time he had done it and having Charlotte tell him to do it again I think he may have been pooped!  lol

When he spelled out bite it was like a game show.  lol  Charlotte asked him if there was another word that he could spell after bite?  He kept saying no.  He's so smart because Mosquito comes before not after!  ha ha and she kept asking is there a word after bite.  I was asking questions like, did you feel like you were going to bite your tongue?  He emphatically shot eyes down NO!  So then I racked my brain and thought of the bugs that were biting me out there and came up with Mosquito.  Well, when he said YES you would have thought Charlotte and I won the jackpot of a million dollars!  We were both yelling and laughing with Dev!  We were so happy we guessed and so happy that that darn mosquito bothered him enough to muster up enough strength to try and shooooo it away!  Praise God!

Just another miracle coming Devon's way!  I told him healing "head to toe"!

Love to all,
Brenda

Dana, thank you for tonight's post. You're not alone, we're all still working on it. You are so right about worry, when we worry we are actually meditating on what Satan is trying to do to us, make us stray. When we focus on Jesus throughout the day, life is much simpler, much more peaceful. Bless you, and all the Quigley's.
