Debbie Seid's Journal
Written Apr 7, 2013 7:56pmStill waiting on biopsy results and hope to hear tomorrow. Darin and Edson visited Deb from Florida this weekend and provided Deb with a spa weekend (long over due). All of Deb's counts were looking very good and she continues to improve her diet. Keep those prayers and support coming our way and thanks again to all.
Written Apr 3, 2013 2:27pmDana Farber Transplant Team confirmed earlier today that they have a Donor for Debbie. The 26 year old female has agreed to donate her bone marrow to Debbie after the match was confirmed via a blood work up. We are so excited about this news and hope and pray the biopsy results provide additional great news so we may begin the transplant!!!
Written Apr 2, 2013 5:12pmIt got to the point where I didn't want to post updates just for the fact if I post positive things the next day would be negative things. It continues to be a see saw of activity so with that in mind here's what's going on today. We heard that yesterday's endoscopy showed no internal issues so the new bleeding over the weekend was old blood. Today Deb's counts continue to look ok, but have retreated some from the weekend which is normal. They are: whites at 2.19; reds at 22.9; and platelets at 54. Received blood transfusions yesterday and today to increase count so we'll see what tomorrow will bring. Deb's biopsy was this afternoon and she is still asleep. Docs said they got what they need and think results won't be back until the the latest Monday. We're praying for good results - no more AML. Deb continues be be so brave and is very positive about moving on to next steps. Darin and Edson are coming in this weekend and plan to camp out with Deb which I think is great. If Deb does well this week I plan NOT to sleep on the recliner while the kids are here but in a real bed. I don't recall if I posted Deb's haircut day was over the weekend. She looks beautiful! Everyone that comes by tell her she looks great!! We haven't worked on the scarf yet, but she loves wearing a gray ski hat when cold. Anyway that's it from very cold Boston. Please keep those prayers coming Deb's way. It time to sit and wait.
