Well, I still find myself checking this site everyday. I'm not sure why. I think I just find so much comfort in knowing that there were so many people who loved my mom. I thought I should update one last time just to thank everyone for their comfort and support this past year. I can honestly say that this has been the most difficult year of my life (and I'm sure I speak for everyone in my family), but many of you did so much to ease the incredible burden we all felt. You prayed, you cared for my mom, you sent cards and flowers, you cooked for us, you babysat our children, you covered our jobs, you helped cover the costs of Mom's medicine, you made phone calls just to check on us, you left messages on this site, and you thought about us. All of those things meant so much to us. Every little act of kindness was noticed and appreciated. Mom's memorial service was simply perfect. I will carry all of the words that were spoken in my heart forever. Thank you to everyone who attended and everyone who wanted to be there but couldn't. I know my mom was looking down with that big Debbie smile on her face, because the memorial was exactly what she would have wanted.
