Me again....

We found out a couple of hours ago that Zachary's science teacher from last year passed away this morning from breast cancer.  Zachary loved this teacher! She would spend a lot of time sitting with him and talking about how he was feeling with his mom having cancer and going through chemotherapy. She shared stories with him to help him understand and cope better. Besides this, she was also a fabulous teacher.  Prior to her being his teacher, she had spent the previous year fighting her own battle and at conferences we spoke about each others experiences and health. Zachary had heard back in January that her cancer had returned, but we never realized how serious it was. This has come as a huge shock to our family.  We will definitely be remembering her this Sunday when we walk in the Race for the Cure! Another person whose life ended too soon from this terrible disease! RIP Mary Grimm. You were loved and will be remembered!
