When I think of David the word "Inspire" keeps coming to mind.  You really can change the world...if you just let the world see you.   David shared moments with me and he Inspired me...to be a better person.  "Thank you" for sharing this Man with me.   ~ HUGS~

Arlyce and all of the wonderful Terning Family Members!

How do we even begin to imagine the pain you are feeling at this very difficult time?  Words cannot express how deeply sorry we are for your loss.  David was truly an amazing person, and we all enjoyed him so much!  He and Arlyce did become part of our family on our unit, and we are forever grateful to you for illustrating for us the truest meaning of love and devotion.  David will be greatly missed by all of us, and we are sure others would agree that we are all better people and nurses for having known and cared for David and Arlyce - truly some of the most wonderful people we have had the pleasure of knowing!  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time!

To the Family of Dave Terning,

There are many ways to describe what one feels when they have lost a loved one and in 1995 I experienced this feeling with my mom.  During the process of preparing for that final day, my moms long time friend made each of us kids and my dad a plaque that had the following prayer on it.  I see this everyday and makes me remember my mom and how much I love and miss her.

The Plaque read:

God saw you getting tired

and a cure was not to be,

So He put His arms around you

and whispered "Come With Me."

With tearful eyes we watched you suffer

and saw you fade away.

Although we loved you dearly

We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating

Your now at peacful rest.

God broke ourhearts to prove to us

HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST

God bless and my families thoughs and prayers are with you,
