Thank you for coming here to support David and his family through this new and challenging period of our lives.  As you are most likely aware, David was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

David's mommy and daddy has requested that I (David's auntie Sheyla) send family and friends all updates on David's health.  Even though I will send the updates, his mommy and daddy (Debbie and Anderson) will be checking in to see all updates.  Your messages left here will be encouraging and dear to their hearts and to all that visit this site.  Here is a background story on events prior to the creation of this site:

8/18/09 - Because of right hand tremors with hyperactivity David went through a noncontrast CT scan and they found a brain mass in the region of the right brachium pontis and foramen of Luschka. It is slightly hyperdense compared to the surrounding brain parenchyma. It measures approximately 2.4 x 2.7 cm in size. There is a slight displacement of the fourth ventricle towards the left.

8/19/09 - David saw a Neurologist that ran some tests.

8/27/09 - Referred by the Family Practitioner, David underwent an MRI - Finding: there is a well circumscribed 2.2x2.8 cm intra-axial mass arising from the right cerebellum with involvement of the right cerebellarpenducle. This mass is right of the midline and causes moderate mass-effect against adjacent soft tissue structures. Post contract images demonstrate mild heterogeneous enhancement. This mass causes slight compression of the fourth ventricle and slight compression of the right cerebellonpontine angle structures.
This mass is right of the midline and demonstrates slightly increased signal on the T2 images.  Differential diagnostics includes an ependynoma or an astrocytoma.

These seems like a lot of scary words but the good news is the Neuro-Surgeon said that this was caught at a good time since David does not have any other symptoms.  Thank you for all the support and the love the family is receiving from the family and friends.

"For I know the Plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13

Latest Journal Update

Untitled

It has been a good beginning of 2010 for our family.  David is blessed, in December he underwent an MRI (the Insurance changed but everything was kept the same, even his neurosurgeon) to see how things were and Praise God the tumor has not grown, it is stable and his neurosurgeon is only going to keep monitoring every 3 months with a MRI. We are praying and believing that God will either heal it completely or keep it where it is without growth.  There are no symptoms and his hair is growing in and hiding His "battle scars", as we call it. Thank you for your prayers and love. David is active again in his Royal Rangers Club, in school and playing with his friends. He can't wait to celebrate his 7th birthday which is not until April but he is already making plans....He gets thrilled whenever he gets a card in the mail (which he loves) or he reads in here that someone is praying for him.  His future is so bright and our year has been so blessed already that we are walking in the clouds with happiness.  There is no greater joy than trusting in the Lord Jesus and His promises...and to have friends like you...May God richly bless you today...and please continue to keep little David in your prayers....and AJ and Jessica too! Thanks again with love, Debbie  (Check out the new pictures that shows how David looks today and the kisses he blew to you)
