Ok, so it's been a while.

Let's see, where do I start? David has been sitting w/o support for as long as 45-60 minutes at a time. this is all because of the recent weight gain! He's gained a little over 10 lbs. in the past 3-4 months! The little bugger had plateaued at roughly 21 lbs. for almost a year, so this is a big deal. =)

He was casted recently for AFO's, or ankle/foot orthotics, as they are affectionately known in the special-needs community (or so it seems). We just call 'em ankle braces and they should be here in about 3 weeks or so. He is able to stand w/ support, but his knees lock. So, when he's standing now, we tilt him side to side to get his knees to 'buckle' a little. He thinks it's all so funny.

David was also recently seen in the seating clinic at Walter Reed and approved for 6 types of adaptive equipment!

He'll be getting: (some of these are approximate, but will give you an idea)

1. A Bath Seat (similar): http://www.smarter.com/manatee_bath_seat---pd--ch-39--pi-1104236.html

2. A Car-Seat (larger than a regular car-seat - exact model): http://www.snugseat.com/tp.htm

3. A Stroller: (This is pretty similar) http://comfortfirst.com/p-42043-dreamer-design-axiom-2-special-needs-stroller-free-shipping.aspx?kbid=3225

4. A Stander (exact model): http://www.abledata.com/abledata.cfm?pageid=113583&top=0&productid=185377&trail=0

5. An Activity Chair (exact...if I remember correctly): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002DLFFE/ref=nosim/?tag=dealtime-hpc-20&creative=380333&creativeASIN=B0002DLFFE&linkCode=asn

&

6. A Crawl-Trainer (exact model): http://www.flaghouse.com/completeDescription.asp?T1=36886

Future Stuff:

1. David has an MRI scheduled for the 24th. The neurologist just wants to make sure there aren't any major changes. The last MRI (in the NICU) showed that the ventricles of David's brain were 'on the high side of normal'. Not a bad thing, but if they keep enlarging, it could require surgery. So fingers crossed that everything's pretty much the same.

2. Dad has to add some newer pitures to the site!
