Thanks to all of you who continue to send thoughts and prayers. Dave enjoyed a family filled Thanksgiving even though he didn’t feel much like feasting. I think he especially enjoyed seeing his grandchildren. Many birthday wishes arrived and several friends have visited this week.
He grows weaker each day and it is difficult for him to speak. He often manages a whisper and sometimes shows us his sense of humor is miraculously in tact. He still smiles at the touch or mention of any of his present and former puppies. The hospice continuous care team is assisting us making my life much easier. Sean has arrived to lend even more support.
We are just taking one day at a time and are very grateful for each and everyone of his friends and family that continue to be incredibly supportive.
