Darin had his MRI scan last week. Our onc was supprised how good some things were looking, I said oh thats properly because of the new shunt and drainage of the cyst, he did look a bit puzzled so I'm guessing the neuro team didn't write to him after the surgery! Darin's shrinx is about half the size it was so that is really good as it means there is less pressure on the brainstem and his ventricals are really good. The tumour is pretty much the same, possibly a little more cystic, I'm not sure if that is a good thing though, from past experience the cysts cause more problems than the tumour! We mentioned the headaches and lumps in Darin's head but neither seem to have a cause that can be seen on the scans, unfortunatly that means Darin will have to just continue taking calpol when they happen. Darin goes back to school in just 2 weeks, its a shame that the weather hasn't been so good as we don't really seem to have done as much this holiday as we have in the past!
