This month is seven years since Darin was Dx with his tumour, 7 years since all our lifes changed forever!!
Today I took Darin to see the community paeditician, I am still really concerned with Darin's behaviour, its not really worse than it has been in the past, but its not better either and now that he is older its just not acceptable any more. I thought it was ADHD type behaviour but the doc said she feels its more Autistic spectrum. She said she thought he would properly never get that DX, because it has more than likely been caused by every thing that has happened over the years, but hopefully we will get an appointment soon to see someone that can help Darin! He is so very egocentric still, he just can't seem to understand that what he does affects everyone around him or that its not just his feelings that count, in a family its give and take!
We have now been treatent free for nearly two years. I look back and remember just how bad things were then, how ill Darin was and just how close we were to loosing him and I am so greatful that he pulled through but surely its time for a break, its time Darin sould be a normal kid, ha I should be so lucky!!
