Today was Darci's appointment with Dr. Zelaya. Her appointment was at 11:00, we had to wait for him, so we didn't get out of there until 12:30. Therefore, more singing and silliness to keep her entertained. He said we could try giving her a higher dose of the Keppra for now, but he thinks we will eventually need a stronger med. The great thing about Keppra is essentially no side effects. With the other meds, she would have to be monitored very closely because they can affect the liver and have other side effects. So I'm thankful he agreed to keeping her on Keppra for now.
Mandy went with us because it is her 18th birthday today. So after the appointment, we went to Red Lobster for lunch and then went to Northwoods to pick out some things for her birthday. Darci was so good the whole time we were out. We got home around 5:00 and now off to Sam's baseball game at 6:00. I hope she sleeps in tomorrow after this big day!
