'If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough'
-Roger Allen Wade

First off- Sorry my mother took over. haha Just kidding I love her.

Well I got back from Camp on the 31st and had to move on the 1st. So i have been CRAZY busy. So instead of unpacking i decided to update.

Colorado is a BEAUTIFUL state. If you live there i am very jealous. I did not want to leave. I wanted to stay and keep kayaking. Some of the time i did not even want to be kayaking i wanted to be out taking photos. Thats the artist in me i guess. But i did fall in love with kayaking. My dad and I are thinking about selling the kayak i have been using and buy a river kayak. (we have sea kayaks).

Of course the people i met were amazing. Everyone was an inspiration. There were two other brain cancer survivors there so, its always nice to meet other brain cancer survivors (well any survivor for that fact, but i think you know what im trying to say).

I do not even know what to say about my trip. Something i can not put in words. It was more then i expected. If you are a survivor 18-40 i suggest you go. Some times the bend the rules for those who are barely over 40. And there were people there still in treatment. I do not know if i could have done that when i was in treatment. But you always surprise yourself right?

I did accomplish a class 3 rapid!!!! (theres 6 classes total)
But on my bucket list becoming a certified kayaker is now on it :)

There are also other things like this trip. There is a couples retreat. For kiddos under 18 theres another camp (forget the name) that have a week camp for the survivor and there siblings. One of the counslers volunteers at that one too. He is also a survivor.
You can find camps/retreats for all ages
a good site is Im to young for this.

Of course i am not sure of the exact web site but google it.
;)

well i need to eat some lunch and do some more unpacking. I know this may have been all over the place and you may have wanted to hear more but really i can not even begin to explain everything.

but i do think other survivors should check in to it.

we had a camp joke and here is the new slogan we made for the camp

'First Decents... all you had to do to get in is get cancer!'

we were a very joking group

thats all have a lovely day everyone!!!
