Oh Stacie.  As if your plate wasn't full enough already, you now have to deal with what I like to call "idiots" who say they are jealous of you & your family because people are sending you money to help provide for Dalton's basic needs.  Are you kidding me???  What in the world are these people thinking???  I pray for their poor misguided souls who obviously have a very warped sense of reality.  Please don't give those people (and I hope & pray they are very FEW people)  a second thought - other than to also pray for their poor misguided souls.  Please do not let them make you feel undeserving or as if you are doing anything wrong. You are not doing anything wrong.  In fact, I believe you are doing everything right by reaching out and asking for help, and I believe it is our duty as God's children to help out our fellow mankind.  If you didn't ask for help, then you wouldn't be allowing God to work to His fullest potential by showing you how wonderful & loving & giving & helpful His children can be by helping one another.  None of us can go through this journey alone, nor do I believe God ever intended for us to go through it alone.  You & your family are such an inspiration to others.  Your words of praises and your actions will always rise above the few nay-sayers out there.  And you know what?!?  I just thought of something.  Those nay-sayers SHOULD be a little jealous of you, but not because they "wish someone would give them money to take care of their children".  They instead should be a little jealous of the wonderful relationship you have with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I hope and pray they come to the realization not to be jealous of that relationship but instead figure out they can have that same relationship with God themselves.  All they have to do is seek and ask.  Maybe if they continue to follow your story they too will seek His guidance and learn to live their lives ON PURPOSE!!  Thank you for pouring your heart out for all of us to witness.  I am so very proud of you and so grateful to call you a friend.  I love you!!

Stacie,

Thank you so much for your post.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers.  You are probaly wondering who I am, but Mr. Al (David's father) gave me my first job out of college and I enjoyed working with the Al-Chokhachis because they were great people.  It's been years since I've been back to Memphis and I look forward to seeing David and the family.  Your post really has touched me and your strong faith has touched me even more.  I have a son, Sam, who has Autism and the mental, emotional, physical turmail that it takes on the family is overwhelming.  My wife is having to manage raising my two boys by herself in Virginia while I work in the Smokies to provide for the family.  Even though I am not there to help out with the day-to-day work, I truly miss hugging my boys and my wife before they go to sleep every night.  Store in your heart every hug from Dalton because he is gift from God.

Stacie,
Thank you for sharing this site on Facebook. Since I just met you there recently, I wanted to come see this site. Wow! What insight and inspiration. Of course I have not read all of the writings yet, but they are amazing.  Since I am in the same fight with my 7 year old, I can relate to the blogs but don't put it into words as well as you do.  Thank you for sharing!  You are all in my prayers.  Keep up the fight!  Let's end Duchenne!  I am so thankful for how God is using the fight to inspire others and lead them to Him.

Can't wait to see all that you guys have planned for the house. Much love to all of you!

p.s. I do like reading the CaringBridge since I am not much of a FB fan but I know it takes time to keep us up to date.

Dalton,
Your spider of darkness is cool.  Rock man should be a superhero, cause he rocks.  I love your superhero costumes.  My dad thinks the Lightning Volt dude is awesome.  Tell your mom thanks for teaching my Wednesday night small group class at Hope.  Hope you get better soon!  See you around Hope.  Tell your mom and sister I said hi.
