Good morning this is Auntie Susan updating.

Dallas has had a good week of therapies! Her new thing is to put her left hand behind her head as if to prop it up. She does this a lot in bed to watch T.V! She is also showing some interest in brushing her hair (which is really getting long) and pushing her left hand through her sleeve while Cindy dresses her. Her left hand has been showing lots of purposeful movements, which is very encouraging.

On Tuesday, Cindy went to Spa Shiki to enjoy her "Mother of the Year" winnings! She had a full day of pampering and lunch. A big thank you to all the ladies there for making her day very special, they even took her picture!

The weekend started early for the Martins. Dal's best friend Britt came for a sleepover on Thursday! What a special and true friend she is. They stayed up late and woke up late, just like old times! On Friday Dal's Tennessee friends came to visit. Lexi will be going to college in Springfield, so they hope to see her more often! Family friends came over later, pizza and cards were on the agenda!

Saturday was another special day for Cindy. Dallas had a wonderful caregiver for the day and Cindy went shopping in Jeff city! She had not had a full day of shopping to herself for close to a year, it was awesome. Dallas did really well and Cindy is planning another excursion!
The weekend ended on a high note with a family bbq with some new friends. A fun time was had by all and the Martins hope to see them all again soon!

Grandma and Papa are visiting now till Wed. There is always a lot to keep them busy. Dallas seems to do well with all the visits. She feels comfortable in her own home, which makes visits more pleasant for her.

Keep praying as we WAIT AND BELIEVE FOR MIRACLES IN 2009!

Love,

Auntie Susan
