No long update this evening. I thought I would pass on an idea that was forwarded to me. Cristina is doing ok. Lyndie and Madelyn are home from the hospital. We're hoping Thomas (Daddy) will be in from the field Saturday and able to call his family. The government is sending out our "economic stimulus checks" this month. If you watch TV or read the newspaper we are bombarded with ads telling us what we should spend the money on to help the economy. Maybe instead of buying ourselves a new TV or diamond ring like the ads suggest we should all contribute our checks towards a needy family or charity. There are many, many families with ill children who struggle to pay the bills each month or who are at the point of losing their homes due to medical bills. They could really use the help. Food banks and other charities are also suffering. Prices for food have risen dramatically so fewer people have the extra means to donate and yet the same rising prices mean more families need help. How many of us really need that new toy? Not very many. But that same money could make a big difference in the life of a sick child. Pass this message on to everyone you know. Together we can make a difference.
