Dear Family and Friends,

Charlie and Joe returned home Saturday, December 20th. Even with the extreme cold and snow Joe is happy to be home.

Christmas was spent with Family.Joes Grandma's, Aunts, Uncles and cousins, a great tradition. Also a great tradition, going to Church on Christmas Eve as a Family.

Joe continues his physical therapy at the Institute for Athletic Medicine several times a week He continues daily stretching at home. The cold weather is more comfortable to his skin then the heat so he is appreciating the cold.

Joe achieved a hugh goal. He skated. On December 31st. the Eden Prairie Junior Gold A Team had their alumni game. Joe put on his old gear and played hockey. No checking, which I appreciated. It was great to see Joe on the ice again. Several of Joes friends who played hockey with him in high school showed up to play. It was a good re-union. A traditional pizza party was held after the game. The Coaches made Joe honorary Captain of their Junior Gold A team and presented to him a jersey with his name, high school number and "C" on it. Joe was surprised by the honor.Thank-you Eden Prairie Junior Gold A team and Coaches for your appreciation towards Joe.

We go into the New Year with anticipation for a happy, healthy future. We wish all of you a re-newed interest in faith, family and friends.

Joe will return to San Antonio January 19th. He will continue physical therapy and strength training. His doctors will began addressing the stubborn scar tisssue and develop a plan of treatment through plastic surgery.

Please join us to welcome Joe home.

Saturday, January 10th.
