Today celebrated Corey's 33rd birthday. He had a wonderful day. We let him sleep in a little before he headed to work. He said he felt special at work because they sang to him. I also got a message that he did the best productivity that he has done in a long time. Tonight we had family over for cake...a Mt. Dew lemon cake....two of his favorites combined into one! I have seen over the last couple of weeks improvements in his productivity at home, his walking, and his sight. All welcomed blessings. He continues to work hard at occupational and physical therapy. Over Christmas break we took a trip to Hawaii. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary there and also renewed our vows. It was lovely and very hard to come back to South Dakota...of course we flew back on the day that it was -40...burrr! Corey loved sitting on the beach and soaking up the sun. The kids loved snorkeling. We made tons of memories. So far this year we have celebrated my birthday, Kylie's 12th birthday and our 11 year Anniversary. I can't believe how fast time flies! It has been an extremely long and cold winter and Corey is def ready for summer. The cold makes him tense up and in turn hard to move around, but he doesn't let that stop him from missing anything. Kylie tried out for the Science Olympiad team and took 3rd place in one of her events (13 people tried out that ranged from 6-9th graders...we are so proud of her). Connor is becoming the math whiz just like his dad. Corey and I had a nice weekend getaway with our guard family in Sioux Falls a couple of weekends ago. We attended a hockey game and just hung out...I love to see Corey with his "brothers," his face just lights up. Keeping up with the kids is a full time job, so sorry for the lack of posts. Thank you all for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
