January huh?? I really suck at this! LOL! I had to come on today. I'm a bit depressed and I can only imagine what it will be like in the fall. Cause I'm not sure this counts right now. Probably wondering what the heck is this mad women talking about!!!

MY BABIES!!!!!! I can't call them babies anymore. Summer school started today and guess what! No more Pre-K!!! They are in the Kindergarten class!!!!! :( :( :( :( :( :(

I knew this day was coming, but so soon?!?!?! I'm really heart broken about this. And can I add it is also compunded by the news today of George Carlin passing away! LOVE THAT GUY!!!

So does this count as their first day of Kindergarten?? I'm confused by it all really! It still is a "special" kindergarten class. They are small classes of about 12 kids with a teacher and 2-3 aids. There is more individual time where needs can be met better then compared to a "normal" class with only one teacher and about 30 students. We decided to try separating the girls. So they are in differnt classes for summer, and it will be tweaked if we need to come the fall. I dropped Gwynne off at her class first. I thought she was going to cry, her face dropped and she just looked and Chloe and I. "what the heck is going on!" We didn't talk about this in great length with the girls, but mentioned when talking about school.

They came home happy, but they still asked about going to Ms. Heather's class tomorrow. She was there Pre-K teacher for the last two years. They had fun, but they wanted Ms Heather! LOL! So time will tell. We will see how things go.

Next week we leave for a family vacation to visit our friends who moved away to Idaho. This will be the kids first time on a plane. They are getting very excited, and mommy is getting very nervous over everything! It helped some though to find out my sis has a friend that is TSA and helped me relax some about getting through security with Connor. Lets hope I don't forget anything while packing! I'm working on a check off list!

Connor got a new flashy wheelchair a few months ago! It is a bit of a pain to put together and take a part. The base alone weighs about 50LBS by itself. NO WAY I can lift this thing into our van. So we break it down. We were hoping to wait until the first of the year for a new lift van, we may be doing it sooner. NOt looking forward to a car payment that is high. The van is almost paid off and was looking forward to some no car payment time. But we really don't have much of an option. Connor is just so big and wiggley it is hard for me when I'm by myself. Connor is getting really tall and he is doing a ton better with head and neck control. He still cannot sit up by himself but he continues to make progress little by little.

Right now he is off the vent for 6+ hours a day and breathing on his own with supplemental O2. Which I don't think he needs. He holds his stats pretty well with out it. Maybe we can try lowering the O2 supplement next and just have him capped during the day while he is awake. On days we let him off the vent for longer he does seem to get tired out and sleeps well at night. So we have to discuss this at his next pulmonary appt. But otherwise everyone is doing very good and having a blast!
