Fight

Thank you to all that support us!! The family is doing good as we go through this time! But please choose words differently when you speak. It really does break someones heart when you say this!

Thanks to my great friend Amanda Harbin Bartlett I can use these words today!!

In this world of childhood cancer, you encounter a lot of things...you learn what makes you tick, what phrases make you want to punch people in the throat and how to word things so you don't sound like a depressed person all the time. You learn that what others might see as a "small" miracle, you see as God, Himself, parting the red sea! You learn to find the good in every situation and celebrate the small things! You learn to tolerate people who don't know what they are talking about.

I have learned that I HATE (and yes, I am using the word HATE) the phrase "lost his/her battle with cancer"...these kids don't lose, they receive Eternity with the Father. I just hate the way it sounds...like they didn't fight hard enough or that it was in their control, and they lost- NO. Don't ever say this to me- ever. I just might reach over, out of nowhere, and punch you in the throat. There are many other phrases you can use, when talking to me, don't use that one or use it at your own risk.
MY SON DID NOT LOSE HIS FIGHT, HE DIDNT FIGHT A GOOD FIGHT, HE WAS CALLED HOME BY GOD TO BE AN ANGEL IN HEAVEN. HE WAS NEEDED UP IN HEAVEN, HE WILL WATCH OVER US ALL WITH HIS GREAT BIG SMILE!!
