My Story

This page was set up when Cliff was run over and left in ICU for a month, and Brenda his wife went into a care home due to her MS.

Cliff is now home and doing well, Brenda on the other hand (although home) has gone down hill a lot, and there will be updates on this page about her.

Its been a while since I last updated, during that time we had some great progress but thats gone backwards again.

Firstly Brenda went into hospital for the tests I mentioned before, all results came back ok.

Next the good news, the "hole" was finally deemed healed enough to allow Brenda out of bed for short periods in her chair (on a special electric air cushion) and was allowed to heal over. Due to it not needing packing the nurses started to come every other day which made a big difference to the day as it meant there weren't any visits during the afternoon.

The next big thing to happen was lunch on Easter Sunday. As Brenda was allowed in her chair and I felt well enough to sit up, we all sat around the table and ate dinner together on/in chairs! It was the first time we have been able to all be sitting around a table since Dec 2001!!!

Things were going great how ever the sore has broken up again, so Brenda is now back to not being allowed out of bed, the nurses are back in daily and packing the wound.

So that pretty much brings things up to speed.

Take care
