Dear Claire: Just wanted to let you know that Domenic finished his chemo treatment yesterday (and then promptly woke up with a miserable head cold today...what luck huh?). I wanted you to know that we still think of you all the time and that I really miss seeing your pictures and your crazy red hair. Please keep our places warm in heaven and we hope to see you one day when God decides to make it happen. We love you, angel. Mr. and Mrs. Misiti

Hi Debbie and Mike: just reaching out to say you are still very close in my heart and prayers. My prayers are for your returning joy and vitality for living and all the while cherishing the very deep and challenging years you have just left lived with precious Claire. May you feel the love across the air and know you are thought of so very often. Hoping the boys are finishing up school in a good way too and ready for summer time soon. With love always, Lynne

Dear Calhoun Family: Just to let you know that after dinner this evening, the Misiti family was treated to a reading of Claire's eulogy as given by her friend "Mott" and documented on her CaringBridge site. On Memorial Day weekend, we thought it was an appropriate tribute. Yes it is true that Princess Claire may not have been a soldier in the service of our country, but her long battle, tenacious fight, and exemplary bravery certainly earns her a place on my list of heroes. My kids, including Domenic of course, were solemn and respectful of Claire and of your family and of your inspiring story. Please know that if we ever get out to Seattle we will be sure to find you. In the meantime, please also know that Claire lives on in our hearts and minds as an inspiration of faith and fortitude...as do all of the Calhouns. God bless all of you.

I have loved the Dumbo lullaby since I was a child and it always brings tears. Now I will think of it as a lullaby for Claire and it will bring more tears. Such a precious child who is loved by so many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. With many loves and hugs, Grammy

Dear Debbie, This poem is so tender and tugging at my heartstrings.  You mentioned its author as unknown, but it could have easily been written by you, since it describes you so perfectly in every way. My prayers are constant for you and your family, that you may find comfort and peace throughout the days ahead.  You are loved. I sent this poem on to my sister who also lost a child, thank you for sharing it. love you,April
