Christine Frances Pendley, age 42 of Decatur, passed away on
June 12, 2013. Mrs. Pendley born on October 3
rd, 1970 in Sewickley,
PA, is a 1988 graduate of Haleyville High School in Haleyville, AL and a 1995
graduate of Samford University in Birmingham with a BS in Education.  Christine married Steve Pendley on June 20
1992 and taught elementary school in Decatur.  Christine is survived by her wonderful husband,
Steve Pendley; four beautiful children, Chase, Abbey, Alex and Emma; parents,
Becky Fontes (Clyde) and Tom Myl; brother, Bryan Myl (Dede) and sister, Lisa
Myl. Services for Mrs. Pendley will be June 15, 2013 at First Baptist of
Decatur at 3pm with visitation from 11-3. She will be laid to rest in Roselawn
Cemetery in Decatur.  Shelton Funeral Home
of Decatur will direct the services. Pallbearers are Andy Hampton, Cole
Blevins, Forrest Ford, Hunter Shumaker, Jake Bailey and Michael Hixon. In lieu
of flowers, contributions can be made to the Christine Pendley Memorial Fund for
the children’s education through Family Security Credit Union or to the Triple
Negative Breast Cancer Foundation. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
