ROCK-N-ROLL!

I have been up since about 4:30 this morning. And do you know why??!!

My bed was rocking back and forth, and windows and doors were rattling!!!!
.
Did anyone else feel this??
.
I thought I was crazy. I was freaking out. At first I thought...did something or someone just hit the house? Did lightning strike?
.
I looked outside...no rain.
.
Of course there was Jerry ...sound asleep and snoring away.
.
Did I imagine this?? No no. It lasted a good 20 seconds or so.
.
Do we have ghosts haunting us??
.
I couldn't stand it and came downstairs to search the internet for answers.
.
NOTHING!
.
Jerry got up for work and suggested it was the nearby quarry blasting. Maybe, but to shake the house like that and for that long?? Then I'm thinking, if it IS the quarry, I am going to have to start a petition to get rid of it!!
.
So just now, I could stand it no longer and researched again.....
.
AND GUESS WHAT I FOUND OUT?!
.
WE HAD AN EARTH QUAKE !!!!! A 5.4 !!
.
I am relieved to find I am NOT crazy (well...not about this anyway - wink wink), but now I am freaked out at the size of this earthquake!
.
Christian just woke up and asked what that rumbling and shaking was in the middle of the night that woke him up. Luckily, he was able to go back to sleep.
.
Anyway, just thought I would share my findings... and give you something to talk about at the water cooler! ha ha!!
