Chris Norton's Journal
Written Oct 17, 2013 10:29amSo yesterday I am feeling a little sad and then that incredible son of mine "tweets" and "posts" this on Facebook.
"3 years ago today is when my life changed forever but changed for the best. This has made me a better person. If I could go back in time to change the play on October 16, 2010, I would not change it."
We are so excited about the event in Decorah this Saturday, 10/19. I can't believe all of the work Chris has put in to it, as well as the many other volunteers. Chris literally had his friends drop him off in town and he went door-door, business - business regarding the event, and had them pick him up the next block over.
We have some tremendous auction items for Saturday night. If you have not reserved a table, please still consider coming around 7:30 and participating in the auction.
October 16, 2010

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Some things in life are hard to understand. I guess we are not meant to understand them and never will while here on earth. This is the point of "faith" believing and trusting in things we cannot see or understand. The last 3 years have been full of moments of hurt, pain, sadness, anger, disappointment, and at the same time joy, love, encouragement, and hope. Trials refine us, make us grow in our faith and in our determination.
Culver's Day in Decorah
Written Oct 10, 2013 10:57amThe Culver's organization as well as Lisa Roberson have been such great supporters of Chris and our foundation. Next week, on October 16th (3rd year anniversary of his injury) the Culver's in Decorah will be donating 10% of all sales that day to the SCI CAN Foundation.
We encourage everyone in the Decorah area to try and stop in that day. We also encourage everyone to support Culver's in general as Craig & Lea Culver have been great supporters and it is a wonferful organization!
