Tracy,
We continue to be in awe at the legacy of your sharing your walk through the valley with Chris. Our hearts swell in joy at how you words reflect Christ so very deeply and how the Lord has now moved you into a new world of speaking Christ's love & care in pain to audiences. We also rejoice that the Lord has blessed your life with Peter to stand beside you and hold you up as you touch the hearts of many with the Lord's words about what HE taught you in the years of loving and caring for Chris.

We love you greatly and thoughts of you always bring big smiles that the Lord has blessed and honored us with knowing you and the depths of your heart.

Dear Traci,
I'm one of the thousands who have been helped by you and your family ministry, but I don't believe I ever met you, only Chris, years ago, when he was in Texas. Noelle came and helped with my babies, and then went and helped you with yours, and that made another connection. I just wanted you to know that I've been going over my Care Bridge pages today, and prayed for Jessica H. and praise God for all He is doing.

Praying for you again today. Don't particularly know why, but surely you will see His hand in the prompting to write you.

Tracy,
I want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the time you took to share and journal this incredible journey.  I have been reading CaringBridge since the beginning and you are truly gifted and precious.  It's very evident that you find your strength in the Lord....and are able to encourage others along the way.  The testimonies that have been shared during all of this are so inspiring.  Thank you!  We are touched by MS in our family as well.  I have loved watching how you acted and reacted in these times of trials....you have truly been an inspiration.  Thank you too for your honesty and transparency sharing your deepest hurts and joys!
I pray that the Lord gives you strength and stamina beyond your expectations and that your days will be blessed.

Thank you Tracy, for sharing your heart with us through these months. I have been ministered to through your words in the death of my father this summer, the death of our dear friend from church, and just the everyday call and challenge to press in to the Lord.

Tracy - we sure appreciate your opennes and willingness to share not only your own struggles, but the past ones for Chris, even with depression.  It helps to know that we mere mortals don't suffer wtih these things alone, and knowing how to call upon the name ofthe Lord and rely on Him through these times is so essential.  Where else would we go, Lord.  You alone have the words of life.

Just wanted to share this passage with you, as it is always an encouragement to me when struggling and being in God's waiting room.

Thine, oh Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty.  For all that is in heaven and in the earth is Yours.  Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head above all.  Both riches and honor come of You and You reign over all.  And in Your hand is power and might; and in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength unto all.  Now, therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name.

I pray that God will continue to be your power and strength, that you will feel His loving arms around you (touch is so important. . .), and that you will be more and more aware of His presence with you.

Thanks again for sharing your life and journey with us.

Tracy, your messages have been touching.  You are a vivid reminder of our constant dependency on Jesus.  I finished a 30 year homeschooling journey last year with much gratitude to the Lord for His enabling.  By His grace, all six of our children are walking dependently with Him and that gives us much joy.

Among my thanksgivings is Chris's strong passion for a Christ-centered motivation for homeschooling.  I heard him at our Iowa conference in 2006, and was riveted by the strength of the Lord in Him and the urgent message he delivered.  We had heard him in Wheaton in 1985 when we were so proud to have a couple thousand at our conference.  He'd just come from Michigan where homeschooling was basically illegal at the time, and told us they'd had 5000 there-- all to say, this is a movement only God could have orchestrated.  He is in it, motivating parents in the love and fear of the Lord and if we ever lose sight of Him, we're done.  Chris's intense passion in 2006 was to call us back to that motivation, not better academics and test scores, fear of public schools, or because our neighbor homeschooled and her kids succeeded.  Other motivations may have a good result, but they won't be enough when the serious tests come.

As I've had opportunity to mentor and do some speaking to a new generation of homeschoolers, Chris's message and urgency have been planted in my heart to grow and share the fruit of it.  While he didn't say it in these terms, I believe the essence of the message he wanted passed on was this:  Storms come to all of us; the waves just reveal what foundation we've built on.  In the analogy Jesus used, He said those on the sandy foundation HEAR His words, but those who hear His Word and DO it are the ones whose house will stand when the waves and winds beat against it.  There are stronger political waves coming that will prove our foundation. Being inseparably united with Christ and obeying His Word are the only ways to remain standing through those storms.  Christ alone is the motivation, strength, and goal of our lives, worthy of our all.

And He died for us, to live with us.  "He died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should LIVE TOGETHER WITH HIM."  I Thes. 5:10.   What privilege we have to be called the children of God through faith in Him and all He has done for us, and to live daily in His strong, loving presence!  I pray you will feel His nearness and find the resources of heaven for all your needs.

In His love,
Rebecca Jones
