Well, the school year has come to an end.  Christopher successfully completed 11th grade as far as we know.  He passed his U.S. History regents with a 76, but didn't do so well on the Math B regents.  Fortunately he didn't need the regents credit for math, because he has already fulfilled that requirement for graduation.  We wanted him to try it anyways, and are proud that he gave it a shot when he knew it was going to be difficult.  So, he will be a senior next year.  I can't believe it.  He had his senior pictures last week.  Of course it was the hottest day of the week, and I scheduled him for 2 hours of pictures and 5 outfit changes for inside and outside.  It actually went well, especially after I talked to the photogragher and convinced him to come to the house to take some pictures outside and with Christopher crossing the water with his snowmobile.  I KNOW....I must have been having a weak moment.  First time the photogragher had ever seen such a thing. It made his day too. The smiles on Christopher's face came much easier and naturally than in the dress shirt and tie inside.  They got some great shots and they even had me sign a release so they could use them for advertisement or a personal portfolio. The proofs should come in about 2 weeks, I can hardly wait.

Sarah took Christopher to the prosthetist last week for a fitting for the water leg.  They worked on the alignment of the knee and foot.  Should be able to pick it up on July 1st, just in time to take it for our summer vacation at Raquette Lake. We are all looking forward to it.

No steady summer employment yet for Christopher.  He is only working part time at the greenhouse. So he is washing, waxing, and cleaning vehicles and motorsport vehicles.  He does a good job. So if you need your vehicle done give him a call.

Christopher has been making the rounds for graduation parties.  Of course we aren't far behind.  He had a great time at his friend Chad's. Even rode on a 4 wheeler.  He left as a passenger and came back as the driver.  To use his expression...it was sweet!  And naturally he wouldn't miss Keir's. He has some great friends that have stuck by him through all this and we are grateful. Our attendance at some parties is just a small thank you for all you have done.

Christopher has been helping Mark quite a bit in the garage to get the jetskis going for the summer. He is also working on switching parts between 2 dirt bikes to make one complete one for a friend.  It takes him time but it is great practice if that is what he wants to do for a career. It gives him an opportunity to figure out how he has to adapt to doing some things.  Don't they say, "Necessity is the mother of invention" ?  Who knows, maybe he will invent some thing that others can use to make a job easier.  I can't say enough about how proud of him we are for going on with life and celebrating his survival.

The blood drive was a success, I am not sure total numbers yet, but I know that on Friday they had over 80 donors. When Jimmy gets back from vacation he will find out.  I was able to give for the first time. All went well until I went for some refreshments then I got all hot and sweaty. A little ice pack application and I was good to go.  Mark, Sarah, and I donated together.  I can't say that it was comfortable, but I just kept thinking, if Christopher could endure what he went through then I can do this.  It actually was a great feeling to know that you are helping others in some small way and it only took about 6 minutes for the procedure.  Even as busy as we all are, I guess we should be able to fit that into our schedules once in a while. Thanks to all who donated this time.

I guess that is all for now. I hope this finds everyone in good health and high spirits.  Enjoy the day! Love - the Beasocks
