Chaya A"H was diagnosed with a brain tumor (GBM) on Purim day 5766 (March 14, 2006) and passed away 15 months later on 1 Tammuz 5767 (June 17, 2007). This site chronicles her struggle and its aftermath with regular journal entries and numerous messages from friends, relatives and admirers. Tehei nishmata tzerura bitzror hachayim.

Hi Everyone. I wanted to remind you about the Rosh Chodesh women’s lecture at Ohel Shalom Torah Center this coming Sunday. It will be dedicated to Chaya on the occaision of her second yahrzeit. Today was actually the date of her English Yahrzeit, but the Hebrew date will be on Tuesday, Rosh Chodesh Tamuz. Rabbi Elisha Prero will be speaking and the learning will surely be an Aliyah for Chaya’s neshama. The lecture will take place on Sunday, June 21st at 11:30 A.M. at Ohel Shalom (Rabbi Raccah’s shul) at 2949 W. Touhy.  Please enter from the rear of the building. (Sponsorships are available.
