Oh my Gosh!  So exciting!  I am having technical difficulties (on my own part) viewing the video at the moment, but I am so excited to see and hear about you talking to Dad!  It's so great to hear about all the great steps forward Chase is making!  Big or little -- it is forward.  My Grandma always said 'slow and steady wins' the race!  And I never question my Grandma!  (She was certainly right when she told me all those brownies would catch up to me someday!)   =)    Way to go Chase, keep up the hard work!  It's really paying off!

You all have been through so much over the last year.  Your faith has brought you to this place, however.  That and Chase's amazing strength.  I never personally met any of you, but I was there on that horrific day.  It will forever been ingrained in my heart and mind.  So many people were praying for you that day on the ship and thousands more have prayed for you since.  Keep the faith and I know Chase will do amazing things in the future!

What a year Chase!  I was just catching up on your last few entries, and enjoying hearing about your warm and fishy vacation!  I love the pictures you posted!  You truly look so good, so engaged, so strong!  I look forward to another year of making great strides!  Keep 'em coming Chase!

Hey buddy!! Welcome back & thanks for bringing some nice weather with you. Sounds like the vacation did you good. Glad to hear that you are back, working hard in therapy again. What better cheerleader could you ask for than mom?! Sorry to hear about the problems with the formula...hopefully, it will get figured out so you can beef up! We are so excited for the nice weather the past couple of days, because it means that summer will be here soon, which means that I will have to start getting your favorite spot in our yard ready. We look forward to spending some quality time with the Lykken crew again this summer, although this year maybe you can hit the lake too.

We love & miss you!

Recollections, Realizations & Rejoicing! One year ago my very distraught son Chris called me around 2:30 pm CDT and asked for prayer. It wasn’t clear to me if he said Chase or Jason as he often asks for prayer for people with problems. I called Dawn who was shopping with our daughter Jennifer who was visiting over the Easter weekend. They soon learned it was Grandson Chase and he was being airlifted to the Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando. We considered flying there but realized we would complicate the situation by adding to the confusion. Now, one year later, we are able to rejoice as Chase is in the land of the living and is improving day by day. As the angel Gabriel said to Mary in Luke 1:37; “For with God nothing will be impossible.” We do not know the reason for this accident for the LORD tells us in Isaiah 55 “…so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” But we do know Chase has drawn many closer to the Lord! And, as Chris closes his posts, God is Good! Gramps glenn
