Peg - I am so sorry for your loss.  I know Les is happy to be with Charlie and they are having a wonderful time together.  Now you will have both of them to look out for you and help you buy boots!  Please give my sympathy to the boys and Pete.  Love ya, Deb

Peggy I can only imagine how hard it was to type that entry. It's hard to believe it's been a year already. You're right that Charlie would have been proud of the boys but I think he would be especially proud of you for carrying on his dreams and wishes. I can relate to how it feels wishing Charlie were there to see the milestones in the boys lives. Ryan and Kareen's dad has been gone for 20 years and I still wish he were here to see their special days and how they're grown. Just remember that Charlie DOES have a special place in heaven and that he's watching over you and the boys (and yes he won't let you fall off the horses lol). Oh!  And how happy Charlie is that the Packer's are in the Superbowl! Smile Peggy. I love you bunches.

Peggy-Thank you for sharing your thoughts and updating all on how you are getting along. Your positive attitude shines through.
To see a posting from his Caring Bridge site took me back to all those amazing updates you diligently shared. His life and yours have been an inspiration to more than you realize!

Charlie must be thrilled with our Packers~I can still see his great smile!

Love to you and the boys

Hi Peg, John and Elliot
Is good to hear from you all. I have been thinking of you and hoped all was well.  I can tell you it gets easier as time goes on.  I lost my dad 33 years ago  and my sister 6 years ago and still think and pray to them often.
We are planning our 40 year class reunion and would like you to know that you are welcome to come.  It is June 23, 2012.  Will give you the other information as I get it done.
Boys take care of your mom.  Keep talking to Charlie and keep up the good work.

Love and God Bless Sue Gauerke

Hi Peggy,

Your year in review is both precious and touching.  Thanks for sharing it.  I am sure that Charlie is proud of you and your boys!

Have a fun Packer weekend.  I know that Charlie will be cheering from Heaven for the Green & Gold, as well as for you and the boys.

Take care,

Denise

(PS: Great news: After being hospitalized for almost 5 months, Joe came home last Saturday!)

Peg,
What a nice reflection of a sometimes difficult year in review.
We all know the Pack will have many "guard"ian angels watching over them tomorrow...Charlie included.  Lots of beer and yelling at our house  with a mixed up bunch from St. A if you're looking for company...some of us born in Pittsburgh are busy all day!

Congratulations in raising so much $$$-Charlie must be so proud! Someday they'll beat this disease-and you will be part of the cure.

Take care,
Laurie and team St. A!

I can't wait for the day when I can send out emails saying something like this:

Hello friends.  Typically I'd be writing you to get your donations for the MS150.  This year, I'm honored and proud to write you that because of all your generous donations throughout the year, a cure for MS has been found!

This day will come.  But we can't quit.

I rode with Charie's pin on my back.   He was the face of the angel.  He had our backs this weekend.  We will honor him in our continued fight to cure this horrible disease.  So not one more son, daughter, mother, father.... will need to go through what the Seiwerts did.

Hi Peggy,

It was so special to see you at Bike MS.  Thank you for the precious button with Charlie's smiling face on it.  I gave it to Joe.  He was so happy to receive it!  It means a lot to both of us.

I know the ride this year was very emotional for you and your family.  Thank you for doing it and continuing to support the cure.  I believe that Charlie was with you all the way through the chilling rain, humidity and eventual sunshine.

Let's get together for lunch in a few weeks.  I would like to hear more about your wonderful ideas to engage our young adults as the future stewards os the Society, as we discussed on Sunday.

Again, Peggy, thanks to you and your dear family for all that you have done.

Warmest wishes,

Denise
