Busy week for Charlie... LSU awards banquet and meeting Michael Gaudet and his family as he was heading to Lafayette with his family after his deployment from Iraq. What an awesome family. Will send pics of everything when I get Katie to stop making baked goods!
I have a big favor to ask y'all tonight. One of my very dear friend's dad is fighting for his life after a fall down some stairs. He is in intensive care in Monroe and Melanie (Patrick) has been trying to be with her dad and her family in baton rouge during this crazy time of the year. She was such a source of strength for me when Charlie was so sick. Prayer is awesome, especially y'alls, that if anyone can save him...y'all can!
Thanks again for all of your love and support. Charlie is doing great and still doesn't understand the attention.
    Have a Merry Christmas!

Charlie just left for his Dr. appt. and wouldn't let me go with him so I think it is safe to say that he is getting back to his old self!! Once again, I want to say how much it means to us to hear from all of you. Your supporting messages are truly our Christmas gifts from you. They warm our hearts like no gift wrapped present could. After the first of the year, we hope to have a huge get together where we can all meet and personally thank each of you for your prayers.

    Have a wonderful Christmas

Thanks Katie, Riley and Brandon Dyer for working so hard on the blood drive. And also to all who were able to donate and to all that came out in hopes of being able to help. It was a huge success! What a wonderful way to be able to give back to a community that has been such a huge support to our family. Charlie is doing great. Staples have been removed and he has appts. tomorrow and Wed. for his back and his thumb. Can't wait for that thumb to look better. If ya'll saw it on T.V., you know what I mean!

Hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful time of year and if you are looking for a great book to give," Who Needs God" by Rabbi Harold Kushner is excellent. He also wrote" When Bad Things Happen to Good People". Father Bayhi recommended it and we found it very inspiring and comforting.

    Wishing Everyone a Merry Christmas,

    Carolyn, David and Charlie
