Dear Charlie and Trish,

I've been thinking for a long time that no news is good news but it is good to hear the news that Charlie is making progress.  The 'germ' situation I surely agree is very scarey!  What the poor guy went thru the past year I wouldn't wish on anyone.  It is good to hear that he is making it to school for a couple of days and I hope that his peers are good to him.  Charlie will always be in my  thoughts and prayers.  He and you have really grown on us thru the terrible trials.

Trish, we have had a couple of beautiful days now and I hope you will start getting out doing stuff in the yard and meeting for lunch or something with one or two friends at a time to acclimate yourself again since you do have such a bubbly personality and you deserve happiness.  You no doubt have PSTD only it's not 'post!'

Charlie, your mom described your trip to the Grand Canyon - did you ever see such a BIG hole??  I know that you loved being in the warm water for a couple hours and didn't want to come out.  I know how that is.  I've used the pools at Cerebral Palsy here in Green Bay and maybe you could try that.  There are isolated areas and the pools are kept very sterile.  The therapists are wonderful.  Kids learn to swim and even dive and there are many toys for adults and children.  I think the temp is kept at 92...

I hope that you have been able to keep up with the Packers pretty good and watched part of the draft.  We will have lots of changes this year - all for the best just like you!

Hang in there dude and love you very much,

(Susanne - I'm terribly sorry to hear about your son Ted and having children myself, I can only imagine a loss and not wanting to go on.   I have very few words of comfort but surely will keep Ted and the family in my thoughts and prayers.  It is heartbreaking but we just can't change what is to be sometimes and have no answers - God's Blessings!   Jackie Marks, GB)

Trish, Charlie, and family,

With God, all things are possible. I interpret that, as not always happening, but POSSIBLE! Charlie is a true example of this! He is amazing! I'm so happy, that he has experienced some enjoyment. He's a real trooper, and could give lessons to all, in life appreciation.

Trish, please take time for yourself. As the saying goes, you need to take care of yourself, before you can help others.

Hugs and love, to all of you and Charlie,
