Happy 4th of July!!!!!
Today we are going to Misty's for a picnic, it's raining but we hope it quits soon. The kids are looking forward to fire works and sparklers. I'm looking forward to the food.LOL. Dave is smoking ribs and a big pork roast. Misty and Dave love grilling, and they do it well.
I kept all the kids Thursday night, they were good for the most part. Scooter has these big be bad spells and it drives me nuts to see him act like that. After about 3 hours of arguing with him trying to get him to be nice I took the girls in on my bed for bible time,( I read them the bible and ask them questions) they love it and it calms them right down. Scooter seen we were having bible time and was peeking in my bedroom door, then he opened the door and stood there a few minutes later he brought me a letter saying how sorry he was for being mean to me and the girls, next thing I knew he was laying on the bed with us while we read the bible and he started wanting to answer questions. it turned into a little Sunday school class. KK eventually fell asleep but we kept reading. Stormy like to read the bible out loud to us. They need children bibles. I will have to get them one. KK likes the bibles with pictures. It ended up being a good night. The next morning was good till Scooter got up, he likes to boss the girls and as long as we don't ever tell him no he's good. but the minute he wants something and is told no he starts being as bad as he can. He loves to argue with grampy. He brought me his candle and asked if I could light it for him, he sat in the chair holding his lit candle for about 10 minutes blew it out and was fine. He prays with his candle lit. he went and told grampy he was sorry for being mean to him and wrote letters to all of us asking us to forgive him. Of course we did.
They are good kids that require alot of patience. KK is getting to be a hand full, she is so mouthy and is starting to hit us. She don't hit grampy just me. Gramps will put her in the corner. KK wants to wear her Obama dress today. the red white and blue one w/ stars and stripes. She has had it forever and still wears it, even though it's tight in the chest.
I'm so glad we have them for the 4th so they can enjoy the fireworks and picnic.
KK's Birthday is coming up, I can't wait. hers is the 18th and mine is the 19. I took the whole weekend off. I want her to have a great day. I thank GOD every day that she is still here. And I pray she has 100 more Birthday's. well I have to close now I have cooking to do.
