Hi Everyone,

First, I posted some pics of me and Marshall at the Grand Canyon earlier this month. It was pretty cold there and it snowed, too!!

Got a call from a friend who admitted to being a "lurker" on this website. So he was stuck in traffic and gave me a call the other day. It was nice to hear from him and hear what his family is up to. See, that's what I need so I don't have to think about myself all the time. Well, you know what I mean. So stop lurking people and call! Or email me. My email address is just to your right, just under the MAKE A DONATION link. (hint, hint)

I've been working out at the gym more and even managed to start lifting weights although I was in a deal of pain after the first real session that included upper body. I thought I was being really lame for not lifting very much weight and I admit at the time I was very tempted to up the poundage. (I mean, what could the certified personal trainer possibly know?) I was glad I didn't! It would have been a big mistake. I can still not manage sit ups or crunches very well but hopefully that will get better with time. I guess I need to work on my stability ball instead of just using it to keep Mirko from sleeping on the couch while we're out. I actually weighed myself today and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was--I'm not in the weight range for "Biggest Loser" contestant! But I still have a cough when I do aerobic exercise and this weird shock-like feeling in my legs. It is like getting a bit of an electrical shock and it shoots up both my legs after I've been walking for a while. First time it happened I switched treadmills because I thought the treadmill was shorting out and shocking me. But it kept happening so I just try to not fall down. Makes it more sporty!

Well, I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving. I will be making dinner for my Mother-in-Law and a couple other friends, so that will probably wipe me out and keep me from shopping too much the next day. Marshall and I have been on the hunt for a new fake Christmas tree to replace the fake one I've had since 1994. I think we've got the use out of it! Take care, Catherine
