Cate had her 1st unsedated MRI this past Friday and she did an amazing job. She hardly cried when they put in her IV and she walked into the MRI room ready to go. The nurses had the sedative ready just in case she freaked out or couldn't handle it but she was fearless through the entire hour scan. I was so proud of her. Her results were also incredible. Her pituitary gland has almost completely resolved. The Doctor's were amazed as they were thinking the remaining tumor was possible scar tissue. They feel the chemo probably continued to work after her last treatment in March. We are so happy and relieved. Cate has been in remission for 6 incredible months. Her endocrine issues are stable and she is growing, learning and enjoying kindergarten. Cate had a neuropsych exam a few months ago and that was good news also as she is exibiting no deficits from her craniotomy, tumor or subsequent chemo treaments.
I would be remiss if I didnt mention that poor Mikey has a broken tibia. He just graduated from his wheelchair to crutches and narrowly avoided surgery.
He is on the mend and a real trooper as well. Thank you for checking in on us we appreciate your support, prayers and positive energy more than words can express.
