I was immensely saddened and incredibly surprised to read on yesterday's Chesterton Tribune website of Cassie's illness and passing. My thoughts are with her children and family and many friends. I knew Cassie from our time on the CHS Speech and Debate team. Cassie was not only a talented Speech and Debater, but a very kind person. I wasn't able to travel to Indiana for the reunion she organized a few years ago, but I enjoyed her frequent and cheerful communications, and hearing from and about so many of you via the wonderful reunion website she created. Thank you Cassie!

I remember sharing an Easter Sunday with Cassie, her Mom & siblings, and Aunt Donna. It was a wonderful afternoon at my Grandmother's home...one topped off with a visit from an opossum playing, well, possum in the backyard. There was a lot of love and laughter shared on that blessed day.

You will be missed...

I am very saddened to hear this but I know that Cassie is no longer suffering or in pain. I met Cassie when I moved to Fishers. Her Ted and my Kaleigh & her Tess and my Kendall are class mates. Cassie was Kendall's daisy troop leader. I can remember thinking to myself what a genuine person she was when I met her. She had the most beautiful completion and big dreamy eyes and she was so sweet! Even after seeing her in October, I was simply amazed at how she had endured all the surgeries and treatments and still looked so beautiful. My thoughts and prayers go out to Cassie's family, especially her children. I know she loved them both so much and can't imagine what they must be going through! May God lift you all up and comfort you through this time of loss.

Respectfully,
Kim Stohler

I will always remember Cassie's beautiful smile. Her faith inspired me to be a better person. Rest easy my friend and fly with the angels. A song called "If You Could See Me Now", gives me some comfort, Dey, maybe this could comfort you and all . of the family. As I recall a trip Cassie and I took to Atlanta for work, Cassie played in the fountains in Olympic park and she seemed so happy and carefree. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I will miss you and your family and kids will always be in my prayers.

Hi Cassie!  I see you are still putting on a GREAT fight!  You are such a great and strong person!  I hope you are not feeling any pain.  It was SOOOOOOOO nice to visit with you when I was up there.  You looked absolutely stunning!  I wish I could have met the kids, but hopefully some day....  Thank you for the frames.  I have the black ones on order and they should be here in a couple of days.  I will think of you when ever I wear them!  :)  Just wanted you to know that you are always in my thoughts and prayers!  (((HUGS)))
