My Story

Cassandra Anne Nykanen was born on Feb. 9th, 1991. Little did we all know what was in store for us 17 1/2 years later. May 30th, 2008 our lives changed forever, Cass was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. On Oct. 31, 2008 we learned that Cass relapsed. Everyone is in agreeance that we are going to kill this cancer once and for all.  6/25/2009  We killed the CANCER!!

Hello,

I got my port out today:) Surgery was at 11 it took about half hour.  Then I was in the recovery room for about a half hour I didnt want to wake up this time. I finally said something to them and fell back asleep and the next thing I knew I was in my room.  Just got back home :) I'm sore and tired.  I can handle that. I think the surgery kicked my butt just a tad today!! I will be better with in the next day or so. I will sleep good tonight :) Have a great 4th of July weekend!!
