"So now, dear Lord Jesus, we relinquish all control over precious Casey into your caring hands. He is your dear creation, and your child. You gave him into our world for joy, and pleasure, and delight. You know his heart, and his needs. He belongs to you, for your purposes. We put him fully into your hands, and those of his doctors at your call. We ask for a new heart to be available, for additional years to be added to his life with us. We rest fully in your unchanging character and wait upon you. Lord, strengthen the family, comfort them in these difficult days, and bring the peace of your grace to every minute with Casey. In Jesus' name, we love you."

My heart goes out to Dick, Nancy and the parents...it seems so hard to accept, but in the midst of the questions is the unfailing nature of God. He does not fail! My prayers are with you all.  (Beverly McLeod - friend of Maddie & Steve Petersen)

Well, Hello Susan, Alan, and Mighty Casey!!!! Keep your spirits high, chins up, and hope beaming bright.
Things you can do to keep things light? Small water guns to zap an unsuspecting visitor into a smile. Glow stick crowns. Shadow puppets. Paper airplanes - like, a zillion of them. Have a really loud sing-a-long with the most obnoxious songs EVER: 99 bottles of love on the wall and Skinna ma rink a dink a dink (My son, Spencer, recommends the Alphabet Song - yes, that IS a good obnoxious one!). That is a sure way to have others wondering what in the world you are up to!
We wish you success in finding a perfect fix to a hard situation... And hope you stay stronger than ever before. You have it in you.
Good Vibes to you - from Kalamazoo!

Leg braces are keen looking! Casey looking stronger every day, and physical therapy photos look like Casa Colina is going to help Casey kick butt!  Fantastic! Sorry you had so much trouble getting to this point  to help recovery .. that shouldn't happen to children .. especially  in the U.S.
Hugs and kisses on your 10th birthday Casey!
