My Story

Carter Wayne Allen was diagnosed with Hurlers syndrome at 14 1/2 months of age. Today was our first appointment with the stem cell transplant team at the University of Minnesota. Carter will be receiving a stem cell transplant from Dr. Charlie Peters at Childrens Mercy in Kansas City in the next couple of months and we will be updating this site as we go through it...

Carter is doing good. He turns the big 3 Monday and is starting a 3 year old preschool program Tuesday. He is very happy and still as wild as ever. I put a few new pics up from the last month or so........
