My Story

Caroline is a sweet little child who was born on June 28, 2003 with a rare chromosome disorder. A portion of the p arm of her 17th chromosome was duplicated. We discovered this problem during an amnio and were given a very grim prognosis; Caroline was not expected to make it to term, let alone survive birth but, guess what? She did and this is her story..

Again - it has been too long since our last update. But, again, no news is definitely good news.

Caroline has been quite status quo over the last few months. She is loving school which she attends for 1/2 a day. In fact, she is doing so well that we are thinking of extending her school day for a hour. It will give her more time with her teacher and therapists - plus it will give me a bit more time during the day!

Caroline has been, knock on wood, not even getting sick much at all this winter - which is quite unusual and quite wonderful! She had a few colds, but got over them quite quickly.

Caroline is also much more verbal over the last few months. She really seems like she is trying to tell us something very important. That would definitely be my dream come true - to be able to actually know what Caroline is trying to tell us.

We are all quite tired of this never-ending winter weather. It started snowing in mid-November and we have barely had a break since.

Well, that is it for now!
