Caroline is a sweet little child who was born on June 28, 2003 with a rare chromosome disorder. A portion of the p arm of her 17th chromosome was duplicated. We discovered this problem during an amnio and were given a very grim prognosis; Caroline was not expected to make it to term, let alone survive birth but, guess what? She did and this is her story..

Hi! It has been so long since I have updated this site. But in this case, no news is good news. We have just been busy!!!

Today is a very big day in our world....today Caroline turns 5 years old! Amazing. Each year, when we reach another birthday, I look back in amazement at how far we have come.

If you know our entire story, you know that Caroline wasn't supposed to survive birth, let alone survive her first year, and she is here and she still going quite strong.

This year, we were granted a wish from Make a Wish. We decided that Caroline would like a swimming pool. After a lot of hassles with the pool people, they pool is pretty much complete. We need to build a deck, but the pool is swimmable.

And yesterday everyone swam.

Including Caroline. And you know what? She absolutely had the time of her life. She sat in a floatie I got at Walmart and she kicked herself around the pool, splashed water with her hands and smiled and laughed. And her sisters loved having her in the pool too!! She was literally in there for TWO hours! It was amazing. This pool is the best thing EVER for her.

After her swimming, we got her dressed and started her feeding and she fell fast asleep. I can't even tell you how happy this makes us.

Thank you Make a Wish!!!!
