Carole:  I feel sad and wish all the hard work you have put into living could have given you more time in this life. I am confident hospice will give you and Doug good care.  My prayers will continue to be with you and Doug as you take this journey in a direction you would not have chosen.  Much love to both of you.

Dear Carole,
I hope this time I can remember my password.  That's why I have been resorting to email.  Doug, are you learning how to keep the Caring Bridge log rolling?  Good luck.  Carole, if anyone learned more about their type of cancer, it was you.  You certainly are an inspiration to others battling cancer as the post before mine tells you!  You will always be remembered & loved by your family & friends.

Carole:  I'm so sorry that the reports are discouraging.  Sounds like you are going through an array of feelings.  I also think it is important to have these discussions of planning ahead with the next step.  I have worked a lot with people as their health declines and they are seeking  out their options and next step.  So often people wait until things are in a crisis and the patient doesn't feel up to having these discussions.  You and Doug are supported by many people's relationships with you and know that you are in my prayers often.  And I will pray that you can enjoy your trip.    Marilyn

Carole:  Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I was out of town.  I am so sorry the numbers aren't where you wanted them to be, and the dynamics at the clinic not helpful to your well-being and trust level.  Discouraging things.  I hope the Alaskan cruise works out and that it will be a positive experience.  My prayers  continue to be over you and Doug and for good care by your providers.

I'm sorry the numbers aren't going the way that was hoped for.  And not having the doctors/staff that have become such an integral part of your life is tough at this time.  I pray that some good things come your way again with treatments.  Know that you are supported in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Carole, I keep meaning to come look at your site and then loose the address.  I usually have 3 -5 pages open at a time so it is a wonder I can find anything at all.  Your story and all the information you provide with it is really an inspiration for my mother who I will tell about the Jewish cancer link, I'm sure she will find it very interesting as we have an ancestor by the name of Kurtz and beyond that he immigrated from Prussia we have no information, maybe now we will try harder.  I wish you all the best with your treatment and thank you for reaching out to me when you did.  It really helped.

Carole:  What a difficult time with the mice!  I had not idea that they could do that kind of damage.  You are blessed to have such good neighbors.  I'm sorry the pain from your RA has been so high - that would be hard to endure. Hope your cache in Tuscon provides some relief.   My prayers continue to be with you.
