Hey Y'all,                                              June 2, 2009

I have been silent because there is really nothing to report but my wait for the PET scan date.  Well, that was yesterday and the scan itself is really nothing but boring.  I have to go and they inject a radioactive dye into my veins and then I wait an hour and a half for it to get into my system.  Then I lay on a table and I am run through the imaging machine.  Then the hard
part is waiting for the doctor's appointment the following day.

Well the results are in and I passed!  The hot site on my spleen is not showing at all.  This is extremely good news in that even after the stem cell transplant it had an illumination factor of five.  Three or lower is considered in the normal range and I hadsome readings in the thirty range when this all started.  The liver still shows a lesion but it not showing any illumination that is anything to worry about.  Seeing that they cannot radiate the liver this is good news too.

The plan now is for another PET scan on August 31, and come back to the doctor on September 2nd.  Now I have the summer off to do what I want rather than run back and forth to the radiation clinic every day.  Hopefully I will be able to send some pictures soon of my new garage.
