Well I did it I swam for the first time in a year. I had been cleared to swim earlier but the pool was closed for its annual maintenance. I also wanted to wait until I had my scan, no sense starting to swim and then finding out I had to have more chemo and could not get into the water any longer. I did a paltry 500 yards but it was a start. I found out two things. One is the water felt good and like they say about riding a bicycle you never forget. The other thing is they moved the walls of the pool back while I was away. 
